Love the Rainbow, met my wife at the Heart and Crown next door and we ended up partying here 'til dawn. Go to the 'Bow as often as we can, and every 12 July (anniversary of meeting) and every 31 December (because we love to PARTY!!!)
What time is it? IT's PARTY TIME!!!

Hello Rainbow,
I was visiting my girlfriend in Ottawa yesterday and we were walking down the street when we heard some great blues music coming from this bar called the Rainbow. We decided to stop in for a rye and seven and ended up staying to watch the whole set! Great music, great venue. I love how Lance did double duty as bartender and soundman! Maybe someday my own band will get a chance to play there. Until then...CHEERS!

Great site......The Rainbow, deserves every mention it gets and so much more.
I wanted to comment on A.J's article, very well said A.J. Let's not forget a very important piece of The Rainbow's history, Mr. Denis Pilon/Fatback Freddie
and his band, opened the Bow's long musical journey in 84.Denis soulfully belting out Bluesy, R&B classics.
I heard it was quite a show........ RIP cousin, wish I could have been there ! Mitzi

Hey Danny....Can you dig through your photo's. You've mentioned in the past, you have pics of Fatback Freddie on opening night in 84.
I would really love to see these, either in person or on the Rainbow's site.....MC
