Ottawa's Rainbow Bistro, located at 76 Murray St. in the Byward Market is known as Ottawa's Legendary Home of the Blues... with justification. This year The Rainbow will celebrating it's 25th Anniversary of featuring National and International Blues Artists and Ottawa's finest local talent.
Since opening it's doors 1984, The Rainbow has built a solid reputation Internationally and throughout Canada as an excellent club to see favourite blues artists as well as being an outstanding venue and a "must stop" for musicians to perform at.

Come celebrate our 25th Anniversary all through November 2009
Its our 25th Anniversary this month and we are bringing in some great shows to celebrate!
Starting Tuesday night with The Duke Robbilard Band on Nov 3rd followed by Anthony Gomes on Nov 10th and The Idlers on Nov 17th.
The first weekend we have MonkeyJunk on Fri, Nov 6th followed The OBS "On The Road To Memphis" Winner the fabulous Jesse Greene Band on Sat the 7th.
Later in the month comes the JW-Jones Band as well as The 23rd Annual
R & B Festival.

The Rainbow Bistro celebrates 25 years of bringing live Local, National and International acts to it's stage featuring many types of music, particularily, the Blues. With entertainment 7 days a week and free matinée shows 5 days a week, The Rainbow features a diverse range of entertainment.
- Stacie's Showcase - Every Monday Stacie selects 3 or 4 new, original, emerging and/or established talent of different musical genres from around the world for one full evening of entertainment.
- Weekly matinée shows 5 - 7 pm - Wednesdays with The Dr. Dave Revue, Thursdays with Linda Marie, & Reggae Night with Roots Movement and Fridays with Frank James
- Weekend matinée shows 4 - 7 pm - On Saturday's Max Cosette Rockabilly Jam and our Weekly Open Jam on Sunday's with varying hosts.
- Friday and Saturday Evenings - Headlining Shows with top notch musical entertainment from around the globe.
In addition to being Ottawa's most active Blues bar, the Rainbow brings in a diverse range of entertainment from around the globe.
Alternative, Pop, Ska, Reggae, Country, Funk, R & B, Soul, Jazz, Rock, pretty well every musical style out there have all found a home at The Rainbow. From one person acoustic shows to full out 15 piece bands The Rainbow, has a time slot and entertainment style for everyone.

The new website is nearly completed and it will continue to evolve as new content and features are added to like the gallery and guestbook pages. Your patience is greatly appreciated while this transition shapes itself into completion.
